ASSESSMENT
Your child will be assessed by one of our experienced clinicians where you will be asked questions about your child’s developmental history, strengths and difficulties, as well as your concerns for your child. A comprehensive picture of your child’s communication skills will be developed to investigate the nature of the communication difficulty. At the conclusion of the assessment you will be given information about your child’s skills as well as recommendations for on-going therapy. The length of the assessment session could vary depending on the needs of your child. A comprehensive report is written following the assessment.
ON-GOING THERAPY
Our passionate and energetic clinicians at Voices and Minds aim to make learning and therapy fun. Each consultation is specifically tailored to the needs of your family and your child. We recommend that parents attend the therapy sessions, especially for younger children, where you will often be given therapy exercises to consolidate what was covered in the sessions. This will help you understand the therapy process and give you the tools to continue supporting your child’s learning at home. Therapy sessions can range from 30 - 60 minutes.
