Dayna Donsky is a registered Psychologist (Clinical Registrar) at Voices and Minds. Dayna has completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science with honours at Griffith University and California State University, and a Master of Clinical Psychology at Griffith University. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and a member of the College of Clinical Psychologists.
Having worked in the context of private, non-for-profit and educational settings, Dayna has experience in providing psychological therapy across the lifespan. Dayna has broad experience in the psychological treatment of children and adolescents experiencing mental health, social/emotional and behavioural challenges. Dayna utilises a combination of individual child therapy sessions and parent sessions. She draws upon empirically based theories of attachment and interpersonal styles in her work. Her key interests include sleep psychology, gender diversity and assisting young people to understand and manage emotions.
Dayna works collaboratively with the young person and their family and tailors the treatment approach to best meet the needs and strengths of her clients. She utilises a wide range of evidence-based psychological therapies, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Schema Therapy and Solution Focused modalities to achieve the goals of her clients and their families.
